Kate is a director and screenwriter based in Brisbane, Australia. She is drawn to stories that reveal the madness and magic in the mundane and champion connectedness in the face of the void.

Warm and spirited, Kate’s a natural at building camaraderie and excitement, and connecting people from all walks of life with her passionate vision. Equipped with undergrad and postgrad degrees in film (QUT, AFTRS, USYD), as well as an early background of professional practice in photography and music, Kate creates depth and detail in every frame, and fierce precision in every beat, sound and silence. 

Kate’s experience as a director is wide and varied – from historic World War I recreations for the ANZAC Centenary (QLD Government) to large scale installation video art commissioned by the National Gallery of Victoria (for visual artist Hannah Brontë). She has directed and developed television commercials, music videos, short form documentary and screen content for many clients including GOMA, The Commonwealth Games, Virgin Australia, RACQ, The Department of Heritage and Protection, Blue Care, The University of Queensland and many more.
